We have lots of ants in our kitchen please help

You could use boric acid. Boric acid is poisonous to ants acting on their exoskeleton and is not harmful to human beings.

Well, one thing that you need to know is: Ants like food. Ants come into your house because THERE IS FOOD. The first thing you should do when you find out you have ants is do a good cleaning to get rid of any food or food residue. Anything that the ants can feed off of is a welcoming call to them to come inside. So the first thing in your step to rid your household of ants should be to clean up.

Find the source of the ants. They are probably there for an open food. Get rid of it. And use the bug sprays.

I had the same problem in my apartment. I just used Raid ant baits and they worked fine

Well i was going to say that spray stuff works pretty well but i do not think it would be a goo idea to do that in your kitchen. check your store for stuff that would get rid of them all but would not harm your kitchen.
