it depends on what your lease says about it. some leases contain a clause that may limit that time to as little as three day or a week.



otherwise, it generally takes a week for the landlord to get and evection, and then you get thirty days after that. when those thirty days are up you have the option of appealing to a judge for more time, but you are unlikel to get it unless you have children or finiancially challenged. also note that the actual laws and times may vary from state to state.
