Purple finch, I have no idea why they call it a purple finch as the markings are red, you can buy a bird book at any book store to help you identify bird speices.

I saw one sounds like this one. Looked very much like a robin but way too small. I asked a friend (that knows her birds) and she didn't know either. Will be watching to see if you get good answer.
