I vacuumed the pool and added the winterizing chemicals as instructed but the rain started right when I was finished, can I cover my pool after the rain stops or do I need to re-add the chemicals in order to cover it for the winter?

Do not re-add any additional chemicals. Too many chemicals can harm a pool, particularly one with a vinyl liner. I doubt that the rain was enough to dilute the chemicals. However, if you are worried just do a quick re check.
We have been winterizing our in ground pool for 20+ years and no problems with weatherization.

i own a pool company. that depends on how hard and long it rained.i have seen it rain so hard the rain ate the chlorine in the pool and turned the water green while i was at that pool.re check chemicals and add as needed. then cover pool.dont forget to add granulated chlorine to full bucket of water then dissolve completely before adding to pool or you will have a lot of leaks
