Question:
Tool like a needle nose, but able to cut at the tip?

I'm looking for a tool that's like a needle nose pliers, but at the tip it has some sort of edges that allow to cut through small pieces of metal, specifically a fish hook. I'm looking to be able to cut hooks that get lodged in a fishes throat enough so the whole hook isnt in there, or cut the tip off a hook if it goes through an eye. Again, looking for took like needle nose. Nothing bulky that wont fit in tight places easily.

Thanks

end cutting pliers might work for what you want. They will cut a fish hook better for longer than shear type cutters.

Why not buy a fish degouger. They sell them here for 40 cents apiece made of plastic and looks like a pencil. It slides down the line, grabs the hook and surrounds the barb of the hook and out of the fishes mouth it comes. We use them all the time. Better than killing a fish or losing your hook. They really work!

electronics diagonal pliers might work and be less bulky than end nippers. But to cut something with the tensile strength of steel wire is going to require a tool that is relatively stout.

Side cutters. Long pointed 3 inch tip pliers will do it.

use barb less hooks, you won't have to cut them
