The direction of ceiling fan depends on the angle of your fan blades. For improved warmth, the fan spin so the warm air at the ceiling is pushed down to you. In the warmer seasons, the fan should spin opposite to suck the cool air up. Hot air rises and cool air drops.

The air should blown down in the summer, to make you feel cool. The air should blow up in the winter to produce a convection current that keeps the room warm.

It should pull the air DOWN, as heat rises.
