What are these jars called?

I thought they were called mason jars but after looking them up i'm definitely wrong. They are the thick glass jars with the lids attached by a metal hinge. There is a rubber gasket and a metal clasp to make it air tight when closed. The jars the larger Yankee Candles come in looks like them but they don't have the metal.

Does anyone know what these jars area called?

I think you'll find they are "Kilner jars" for fruit preserving

Just look up "Hermetic canning seal jar" or "Lock lid" jars and you'll find a lot.

I always heard them called favor jars.

Jars with clamps. They are not for canning, as they cannot be vacuum sealed.
