I have seen a lot of pellet stoves go in from a wide variety of manufacturers. Look for a brand that has been around for a long time and has a reasonably priced replacement auger. Some cost a fortune, and it is probably the most often and expensive item to replace. You need to find a dealer that has been around for a while and who you feel comfortable with. Ask for references and ask about warranty (including labor).

Don't forget you will need a reliable source of pellets (or a couple) and a good dry place to store a lot of them, since you will find that the prices fluctuate through the season. It is smarter to buy them when they are cheap. Don't forget to check with your insurance company to see if they will raise your rates if you heat with solid fuel.

We have an Enviro Mini and like it. Be sure to check for ease of access to replace fans and motors, because eventually you will. You probably won't save much over propane (we have both too) but pellet stove heat is much more comfortable. Also, a source of GOOD pellets is key. Poor quality pellets will ruin the experience. We use Packsaddle (100% Doug-fir) but I don't know where you are.
