Im in TX and there are grey bugs everywhere! on the floors and on the windowsills and blinds. im pretty sure they fly. HELP. i just want to know what they are so i can get rid of them!

Hi Gary, I'm pretty sure the insects you are seeing are called collembola. They are nicknamed snow fleas because they often appear during the winter too. They are harmless - don't bite, etc. They are pretty soft bodied so you can wash them off with a hard stream of water from the hose. There isn't any insecticide labeled for them since they arent considered pests, so i can't tell you anything to spray. They usually leave in a few days. No need for an exterminator! Spend the money on something fun! Let me know if you have any other questions.
