Rose petals fall off the rose within a few days of blooming. The purpose of the petals are to attract pollinators to the flower to pick up and deposit pollen, and once the rose has been pollinated, the petals are no longer necessary.

I have roses that bloom multiple times a year, and there are always rose petals falling. Well, there are rose petals falling when the roses are in bloom.
