My house is occupied with Pharaoh ants and they are literally everywhere! When I was away with the kids my husband had pest control done in the house but they are still everywhere!
I have an 11 month old baby who crawls, so I cannot use dusts or pesticides on the ground... please recommend something that worked.

would need to know what was used by the pest control , also if you paid for a service and are still seeing ants they will be the ones to talk to on what to expect, if they actually are pharaoh ants, the pest company wouldn't of sprayed for them but sued a protein based bait which can take some time to get rid of them, spraying for them will make them worse. if you find out the company used a normal spray for pharaoh ants you may need to look harder for a reputable company next time. You should be able to fins Combat brand bait at a local store, dunk the baits under warm water for a few seconds to moisten the bait and you should see results.

Combat bait is good for Pharaoh ants because they are protein eating ants. The bait can be put under something and the ants will find it. The ants will take it to their nest and give it to the other ants and in a day or 2 it will get rid of the nest.

Fumigating will not work with ants. They have to be killed at the nest or no matter what you do inside the house they will return. There are several good ant baits on the market that are child proof. The ants carry the poison back to the colony and if you are diligent the colony eventually will be wiped out. Visit a garden or hardware store and the the people there will be glad to recommend a product.
