Home appliances, as large part and companion of kitchen, often affect Kitchen design as many built-in home appliances are fitted into Kitchen body. What are major home appliances that included most in Kitchen body?

Modified home appliances which have combination of function recently compared to former home appliances kept surfacing in the market. For example, microwave-oven as combination of microwave and oven. People no longer thrive to complexity, they want it easy and fast. As simple as possible, as beautiful and elegant. Home appliances today are a form of modern art.

Do customers prefer a home appliances that has almost similar function one over another? If so, what are they? How this affect Kitchen design today?

I would personally like to see more fridges that fit on top of the counter and are more fitting for condos. Also dishwasher drawers are popular but way expensive! I wish the old 70s style sink dishwasher came back into style as that was an idea that worked!

Slim (less deep) appliances that matched with the width of the counter would be great and more induction heated ovens would be great--bring the price down. Slimmer dishwashers would also work.

For me it's not so much that I want "fast and easy" I just don't like "fuss". Everything we own, we have to clean and the larger appliances require sooooooo much cleaning! Glass shelves require cleaning, etc.

I'd use a wine fridge for a regular fridge if cost wasn't an issue and I could remove the shelves--becuase it's 1/2 the height and I could make it on a top counter...also it makes it easier to move around in the kitchen.

Once you have kids and a husband and family over and you're trying to make supper, it's easier to have easy to use appliances and appliances that are easy to clean and not jutting out into the kitchen.

Kitchen designs have changed quite a bit in the last few years. In the old days, most homeowners only cared about the work triangle, the idea that the refrigerator, sink and stove were close by. When planning the logistics of an expansive kitchen remodeling project, homeowners tend to forget the initial impulse that inspired the project: happiness. If you plan on living in your home for five or more years, the primary benefit of a kitchen renovation might not necessarily be increased home value.

Cabinets are designed for stock kitchen sizes, so if you have wall left over, you will need fillers in these areas. Fillers, while they have their place should be used sparingly as needed. Custom cabinets can be built to any size you specify, which makes all of your spaces usable, taking advantage of nearly every inch in your kitchen. Custom cabinets give you a fitted look unavailable with stock cabinetry.
