Flour beetles in bedroom?

I just moved into a house and I've noticed that it has quite a few of what I think to be flour beetles. They're dark-ish brown and don't have ridges like bedbugs do, they're smooth, and they're pill shaped. I think I've seen one or two in the kitchen but I mostly see them outside and in my bedroom. I found two dead ones on the side of my bed and found one crawling around on my sheets today. I've had bedbugs before, am using the same mattress that had them which is covered with a bedbug proof sheet with a certified bed bug proof seal on it that the exterminators put on the mattress, and these bugs don't look anything like any bedbug I've ever seen. They also don't seem to bite me, so I'm pretty sure they aren't bedbugs. I don't know why they're in my room though, I've heard they're more common in the kitchen. Is it more likely these are a different kind of beetle? If they are flour beetles, why are they in my room?

would need to see a picture of what you have to guess what it could be..small beetles / weevils that are considered pantry pests are just a few of their look a like cousins that feed off of outside seeds, acorns etc. If it is an outside type a squirrel or rat may of brought in acorns or pecans into a wall or attic giving them a food source and some are finding their way inside. If it is in fact one of the inside type you may have a food source you are unaware of...an old package of crackers, pet food etc hidden away.

They could be carpet beetles. Throw down an old cotton t-shirt on the floor before going to bed and if it has small asymmetrical holes chewed into it the next morning you have carpet beetles, which look like flour beetles, but eat carpet and cotton fibers. If you have them, there are several pet-friendly remedies on the internet to get rid of them if a good vacuuming doesn't do it.

I just found these today after dressing my son and seeing bites on him. I told my husband that they looked like the bugs we find in the flour, but those do not bite. In Ohio, we are having a huge problem with bed begs and I am thinking that is what they are. It is costly to have someone come in to exterminate, but you can also buy a mattress cover and boxspring cover for bed bugs.
